Friday

We had a great first week in Kindergarten.  There are so many new routines that we have learned this week.  Next week we will practice them again to make sure we know them well.

Today we read a book about a dog that ran away.  And wouldn't you know it...our own class pet Sam the dog ran away.  We looked all over the school.  We looked in the library and met the librarian.  She told us that we could visit every week to read books.  We looked in the nurse's office too.  She told us that's where kids come when they don't feel good.  We even looked in the office.  We met Tia and Hope.  Once we learned our way around the school, it was time to head back to our classroom.  We couldn't believe our eyes.  Sam was back in our classroom, sitting in the teacher chair.  Silly Sam.  Now he sits up high on a shelf so he can't run away again.

We also learned about school tools.  Now we know that we put things back in their place so we can find them next time we need them.

We read another book called Have You Filled A Bucket Today.  We learned that we fill each other's invisible bucket when we are kind to one another.  Ask your child about bucket dipping.  Coyotes are NOT bucket dippers.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.  Please call or email if you need anything.
