Objects in the Sky

In science, we are studying objects in the sky.  Yesterday, we took advantage of the great outdoors and took a trip to the playground.  We observed the sky and like good scientists, we drew our observations and shared our new ideas with each other.  What a great day!

Comparing Length

In math today, we had alot of fun comparing our feet.  We took off one shoe, traced our foot onto the paper, cut it out, and then put our feet in order from shortest to longest.  The kids really enjoyed this hands-on activity.

Don't forget that we have PE on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  Always wear your tennis shoes so you can participate!

Also, our library day is always on Tuesdays.  Don't forget to bring your library book!

Our class is in need of glue sticks, dry erase markers, treasure box toys, and USED gift cards for sorting.  Ever wonder what happens to all those used gift cards?  They end up in a Kindergarten classroom to practice sorting in math!!!!  Ask around...sometimes stores will just give them to you!

Thanks for helping!  Have a great week!

Shelf Elf

OUR CLASS WON THE SHELF ELF AWARD!!!!!!!!!!  We showed our most super duper manners in the library last week and won the Shelf Elf Award!  The kids are so excited!  We worked very hard to win by walking in the library, using quiet voices, using shelf markers so books do not get shelved in the wrong places, AND by showing our best manners.  Way to go!  I'm so proud of them!
