April 4

Spring is here!  I enjoyed seeing everyone at the HoeDown!  The kids had so much fun dancing and singing. 

The field trip to the IMAX is coming up on Friday, April 19th.  We are all very excited about that.  The next Early Release day is May 1 at 12:45 p.m. 

We have a lot of fun learning coming up!   In Science, we will be learning about plants and animals, living and nonliving things, and basic needs of living things.  In Math, we will be learning to classify objects into categories, and learning more patterns and how patterns can repeat and be extended.  In Language Arts, we will continue to explore expository text.

Dear Parents,

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. Here's what we'll be learning:
In language arts we will focus on fairy tales, looking closely at characters, setting, and the characteristics of the genre. In science we will talk about seasonal changes. In math we will be measuring and comparing lengths, weights, area and capacity. We will continue to work on our writing, separating words with spaces, using punctuation, and writing all the sounds we hear in words.
