Last Week of School!

Oh my goodness!  I can't believe it is going to be the last week of school!  I have enjoyed this year so much!  I hope everyone has a long and safe summer!  Field Day is this Friday from 8:30 - 10:30 in the morning.  Please make sure that your child is wearing tennis shoes and sunscreen.  Bring an entire change of clothes, towel, and dry shoes for the afternoon.  Make sure that your child arrives on time at 7:35 a.m. We will be eating lunch very late (after 12:00) so please pack a substantial snack to eat around 10:45 when we return to the classroom.  Girls may wear a one-piece bathing suit with shorts.  Boys may wear swim trunks and t-shirt.

The last day of school is also full of activities!  We will sign an autograph book after specials.  We will be eating pizza and ice cream at 11:30 - 12:00.  We will also wear our pajamas on the last day of school.

Today I'm sending home a daily activity list for next week.  Please be sure and read carefully or keep on the fridge!  If you have any questions, just send me an email.

Thanks again for all of your support this year!  I appreciate all of you and will miss all of your kiddos next year!

Rosie's Walk

We read Rosie's Walk by Pat Hutchins last week.  We discussed positional words like over, around, through, and under.  The students worked together as a team to create a map that correlated with the book to show how Rosie walked home.  When they were finished, the students retold the story using their own maps.  Great Job Kindergarten!

I'm so glad to be back at school.  Thanks for all the well wishes.  There is no school on Friday.  I wish everyone a safe holiday.  The last Math Club meeting for this year will be on April 10.
